There is no guess work in Mr. Phillips direction and no question of dedication with serving our country. If we can vote in this man and get other states to follow with like candidates that are tired of government expansion and taxpayers money being wasted we can turn the tide. For those of us who have worked hard for what we have just to watch government grow with ridiculous spending the time to elect officials who are fired up to start fixing things is now. I can only hope that there are enough people with their eyes being opened to elect Les Phillips.

I have always voted in the federal elections and sadly voted for those whom I thought were the "lesser of two evils" but choosing even the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. For the first time I am voting in a primary election on a state level, having realized (and hopefully not too late) that good government begins at home. I met Les at a Tea Party last summer in Boaz. Besides our conservative philosophy, we had the Naval Academy in common. I met Les Phillip at the Rainy Day Patriots statehouse rally in January -- an unassuming guy in a sweatshirt who arrived on the bus with the north Alabama contingent. We had the Navy in common, and started to talk as we stood in the crowd. I later heard Les speak at an RDP rally in Hoover in March, then reconnected with him in Montgomery again today at the SB233 rally. His story from childhood until now is the story of so many of us -- each one different, but each embracing the opportunity of America, walking similar paths to accomplishment and a point where we need to give back somehow to preserve and extend the blessed freedoms we've enjoyed. Les's conservative principles were honed in that way, I believe, and as such are bone-and-heart deep. I'd vote for him if I could, but I've donated once and will do so again. Give 'em hell, Les!

Unlike many politicians, Mr. Phillip is straight to the point on what he believes and he has a great message for America. I believe Mr. Phillip wholeheartedly believes what he says and I agree with his message of reigning in big government and creating an environment where business - the foundation of our country - can once again flourish. I believe Mr. Phillip is just what this country needs right now. I'd strongly encourage everyone who is concerned for our country's future to find out for themselves - and then vote a man into office who is a genuine American.

I do not know Mr. Phillip personally. I have heard him speak at TeaParty events. Although he may be less eloquent than some, he needs no teleprompter to convey his convictions. And his life story is so much more compelling than those of the politicians he is opposing. In fact, his is not the biography of a politician. I was very impressed with his plan for Alabama's 5th District and his attitude that the federal government has gotten too big for its britches. Mr. Phillip is the only choice in this race, in our opinion, based upon his service to our country and his leadership skills. He is an engaging speaker, has a passion for the United States and we feel that he will do as he says; stand up for America and for all of us. He has already proven that he is a man of his word through his time in the Navy and his business ventures and through his community. Mr. Phillip is the "American Success Story". What a great story he has! He and his family came to America from a small country, seeking a better life and of course, America was their choice. Mr. Phillip submerged himself in America, became a citizen and has shown his appreciation for America in everything he does. The fact that he isn't a career politician is overwhelmingly in his favor because he owes no one and that's what we need; someone who can vote without having to worry about a debt they may owe another politician. That behavior is one reason we're in the financial crisis we are in today here in the United States. Certainly not least is the fact that Phillip is a Christian. I met Mr. and Mrs. Phillips at my church (The Rock FWC). I learned of them through friends that I trust and know that have the same values as I do. I wholeheartedly endorse Les for office. You can learn alot about what a man is by speaking with his wife. I met Les at a Constitutional seminar in Madison and was very impressed with him! After talking with him for quite some time afterward, I firmly believe he shares my strong Constitutional values. He believes those in government MUST abide by the Constitution! I first met Les at a town hall meeting on health care in Athens last fall. He made one comment that won me over. He said he is a "John Wayne" type of guy. We need more John Wayne guys in Washington. I have not known Les long except for what I have read. Being a born skeptic I now want to meet him personally because what he is saying sounds great. He is preaching conservative values and a return to limited goverment just as our fore fathers intended when they founded this great nation of ours. As a twenty four year veterean and a combat veterean with five tours in Iraq and Afghanistan I have some serious concerns as to were this country is headed. We the people, need to take back this country and return it to the principles on which it was founded. The founding fathers could have been deterred by bribes from the King. They weren't. The founding fathers risked it all, and they had everything to lose, when they realized that the King's thirst could not be quenched through diplomatic means. It is the lives of a few good brave men to which we owe our freedom. It was this same enemy we fought in WW2 - just a different skin. The time for peaceful restoration of our freedoms and our country's principles is growing short. We need to send a man to DC who understands his mission is peaceful restoration of our freedoms; destruction of socialism and progressivism through dissection of all of its tentacles. Since Les has served his Country in the military, he has already taken an Oath to protect it and the Constitution of the United States of America. As he says, there's no end date on that. As a Statesman he will continue to do just that, protect us by standing up for what our Founding Fathers believed and wrote for us as our guidelines on how to run the Country. Les believes in smaller Federal government that only works within the guidelines of its jobs Enumerated in the Constitution.
